Rawan Chaker is a Senior Policy Manager for Sustainability at ITI, where she drives initiatives to promote sustainability across the ICT sector's product life cycle. With a focus on global policy development and industry collaboration, Rawan plays a role in advancing energy efficiency, repair, climate action, and the sustainable integration of emerging technologies.

In her role, Rawan leads efforts to shape technically sound and actionable energy efficiency policies, standards, and testing methodologies at the domestic and international levels. She also heads the Repair Task Group at ITI, working to establish robust technical requirements and policies for repair at federal and global stages. Rawan Chaker's role also extends to managing climate-related initiatives, where she guides the development of ITI’s climate change principles to promote global governmental solutions. Her commitment to sustainability is further demonstrated in her role as the head of ITI's international engagement on climate, such as in R2Z and the COP. Her expertise also ensures the sustainable deployment of emerging technologies, aligning new innovations with environmental and sustainability goals.

Rawan also actively contributes to discussions on electronic waste management and recycling. She brings a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in making electronics more sustainable, offering critical insights into the role of manufacturers in these global efforts.

Rawan Chaker's career is a testament to her ability to work across borders and cultures. Her experience spans the energy and policy sectors, including managing a geothermal project in Asia at Amala Clean Energy Advisors. Her time at the U.S. House of Representatives saw her actively contributing to decision-making processes and providing insights into policy matters. Additionally, her roles within the Lebanese Parliament and Ministry of Defense underscore her unwavering commitment to sustainability, policy development, and international collaboration.

Rawan holds a Master of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and a Bachelor's in Political Studies from the American University of Beirut. She is proficient in English, French, and Arabic, with intermediate proficiency in Spanish.
